Due to the untimely passing of Caitie Girls owner, Caitie Barker, Caitie Girls is currently closed until further notice.

We are deeply saddened by this loss of dear client and friend. Caitie, you will be missed.

Event to honor the late Caitie Barker

An event to honor the late Caitie Barker, owner and chef at 'Caitie Girl's' restaurant, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at the BREWHAUS, 617 E. Washington St. It will run until 1:00 a.m.

Donations will be taken to help with the family's expenses and for Caitie Girl's employees who are suddenly out of work. The event, called "Celebration of Life and Benefit for Caitie Girl" will feature live music. The Brewhaus kitchen won't be open, but guests are welcome to bring potluck dishes to share.

Barker, 26, was killed in a traffic accident Monday.
